Anti-aging chemical peels
The deep chemical peel is use to create an exfoliation of the skin by applying a medically controlled chemical. The principle of this technique is similar to dermabrasion and laser resurfacing. Indeed, when one removes the superficial layers of the skin, it must regenerate by producing a new and epidermis of new collagen beneath the surface.
Medical science is used, so the natural process of repair of the skin is to form new collagen fibers, oriented parallel to the skin, and regenerate a new skin from skin cells of the basal layer. The new collagen gives skin a firmer texture, younger appearance, less wrinkled, with less obvious scars. The new skin does not contain an accumulation of melanin pigment responsible for age spots.
Benefits of chemical peels: Refresh the skin, rejuvenate the appearance of the skin, reduce wrinkles, reduce stains caused by age and sun, reduce precancerous cells of the skin and actinic keratoses, improve superficial scars. But be aware that the consequences of a deep peel is particularly difficult, with considerable swelling and distortion of the treated area for several days.
Peeling vs. Laser: Both methods can give good results with a similar profile and possible side effects. The main difference is that the laser allows greater precision and greater control for sensitive areas, like around the eyes and mouth and often gives better results for these anatomical sites.
Certainly the role of the dermatologist is likely to become increasingly important in coming years because of aging. If we rely on trends in Europe and the United States, more and more people decide to fight the aging process and keep their appearance by using modern techniques of dermatology. By combining a healthy lifestyle (avoid tanning, smoking, healthy eating, physical exercice, etc..) with regular injections against wrinkles, laser treatments, topical creams that are appropriate for your skin type, it is now possible to minimize skin damage, once considered natural and inevitable.
